Header and Footer in MS-Word .

Header and Footer are the text or graphics which are printed at the top and bottom of every page respectively in a document . A header  is printed in the top margin whereas a footer is printed in the bottom margin . Word 2007 includes built-in-header and footer designs in gallery.



Header and Footer contain information repeated at the top or bottom of the pages of a document . Word 2007 has the option of printing a different header and footer on the first page of a document or the section also.

Inserting Header and Footer

  • Click the Insert tab, in the Header and Footer group, Click the Header button.
  • Click the down arrow . A list Header gallery open and choose your Header.You also edit a header.
  • Scroll through the gallery .You will notice the variety of header and footer that are available in the gallery . Select the desired style you want.

Deleting Header and Footer

  • Select the Header & Footer you want to delete and then press the red icon x close.
                   OR
  • Select the Header & Footer you want to delete and then press the delete key in your Keyboard .
